This was unexpected. I wasn't sure how I felt about the book for about half of it honestly, but I ended up enjoying it. Pestilence really has no idea about the human condition, but once he has Sara and realized that he has feelings for her and what that may mean, he learns much about what it is to live. Although he's been created to destroy humanity, Sara has changed him. But will it be enough? Oddly romantic, this book was a decent look at human condition and redemption.
