This was so, so good. Viola, Mace, Tulip, Morrow and Plume are traveling back to the lowlands to try and fix everything that's wrong with the Race and the imbalance of power in their lands. As they go, they realize that Viola has some of Himureal's power, and they begin to seek out journals and artifacts to bring back the rest of the gods. Of course, nothing is ever so simple.
Zeph is working with Himureal to gain followers and devotion to increase his power, but what he doesn't know is that Viola has her own plans for power. She can't imagine ever being on good terms with Zeph again, but he has hopes that she will be his none he less. How wrong he will be...
Viola and Mace have their issues, but an electric experience whenever their intimate is only an issue when there's actual lightning happening. They do their best to work around it, but eventually they just have to give in, even though everyone knows exactly what's happening. I think Mace is the perfect match for her, and I need resolve on this cliffhanger!!!!
