I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but it delivered far more than I thought. In a futuristic world with Mega-Cities, genetic advancements, and battle suits, people have become centered around a Battle Arena entertainment lifestyle. Rankings based on fights, everything recorded to be broadcast again and again, downloaded and used for profit. HD Heathers has been a brawn for some time now, fighting her way to the top of these fabricated ranks. A genetically enhanced fighter, rated solely on entertainment value and showmanship, she has no idea of what's about to hit her - literally.
I really enjoyed the build-up of characters and the situations that made them feel more real. The culture of this world where violence and fanfare take over and friendship, family, and love come in second. There were a couple of really well designed twists in here that I did not see coming, especially at the end!!
