I really did enjoy this one but I felt like there were some things that were left up in the air more than they should have been. I wanted to hear more about how Naru felt about everything and what it meant for him and Sage. I felt confused about whether she was leaning towards Neru or Kade, and maybe that was intentional.
The world building was really good, and establishment of lore for the story was well done. I will definitely be looking for the second book!
After the attempted sacrifice of Sage by her family, she is thrust into what foreign world that she thought she knew. Finding out that everything was a lie and she knew nothing of the world she was now in, Sage struggled to find allies.
Finding her way back to Minx becomes complicated as she is forced to ally with the heir to the Demon King and is unsure of where she stands in this world...and with Neru.
