This was a really interesting story for me. Hazel goes to live with her uncle after her live basically implodes on her. She's broken, and wants to put herself back together somewhere that isn't the city. She feels like this is where she belongs, but it doesn't seem like her uncle, or his Beta, Slate, want her there long term.
When their secret is revealed, everything changes and things get really complicated. A rival pack decides to kidnap Hazel and lay a claim on her for their pack, but she's determined to return to Slate despite his hesitance. Their only goal is to keep her safe.
There was a lot that happened in this that was your typical werewolf teen drama, but it had a lot of aspects that made it unique as well.
