Bride by Ali Hazlewood

Oh my goodness. This was wonderful. The witty banter that Ali has in all of her books with a supernatural twist. An intriguing story with a mystery to be solved, and surprises along the way that I never expected.

Misery is traded, once again, by her father, once again, for the good of most. After having been raised by humans, she is now pulled from the life she's made for herself and thrown into an arranged marriage with none other than the Alpha of the Weres, Lowe. Endless wars and rivalries come to a head with this alliance, a change in government that sways the tenuous balance between the Humans, Vampires, and Weres in a way that Misery's father doesn't like.

Someone isn't happy about their marriage, and someone is trying to take Lowe's sister, but despite the strain between their species, Lowe shares dangerous secrets with Misery. They end up growing closer working together to keep the people they care about safe, and it leads to multiple unexpected secrets that no one expected (including the reader!). This was so, so good, I could not put it down!
