Ailene by Annabel Den Dekker

I loved this so much. Hayden and Lowell have always had each other. Despite them forming new friendships once moving to Ailene, they realize that family is the most important thing of all. They both grow up so much in such a short time, and have to learn what's worth fighting for, and how to determine the truth.

Alexander is new, exciting, and oh so handsome. Lowell is suspicious due to his friendship with Lena, and when they all come together they must decide where the truth lies. In life threatening situations, they face a deadly change in social structure that forces them to recognize what's truly important in life. Can they convince others to follow their path? Or will the world collapse in violence in the hands of the wrong people?

There was so much emotion and meaning behind the characters and their motivations. I loved it so much, and everything just meshed together so beautifully.
